Introducing two engaging activities geared toward fostering inclusivity among children with friends who have food allergies:
Class Party: This activity is tailored for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. It encourages them to not only learn about the specific food allergies present in their class but also inspires them to contribute by bringing snacks and treats that cater to everyone's dietary needs. In doing so, it promotes a sense of togetherness and understanding.
Food Allergies: Designed for 3rd graders and beyond, this insightful activity teaches children the challenges of dining out with food allergies. Participants learn how to ensure the safety of their friends with food allergies, all while breaking down the barriers of social isolation frequently encountered by these young individuals.
By framing these activities in a more positive and engaging light, we aim to encourage children to embrace inclusivity and empathize with their friends who have food allergies.
